No chemicals, fragrances, or dyes are used in their making. If you want to scent your clothes, put a few drops of fragrance on one of the balls before starting your dryer (it is best not to use essential oils on dryer balls). See our full instructions for use below.

To lightly scent your laundry, you can add a few drops of fragrance (5-6 drops, depending on the desired intensity) to one of your dryer balls or 2 drops to each ball. It is best to let it absorb for 10 to 60 minutes to avoid stains. After a few cycles, the scent will fade, so you can add more fragrance to enhance the scent. It is not recommended to use essential oils in the dryer because some essential oils are flammable. The flash point can vary from one oil to another and could also give your load a burnt smell or other disappointing results.

How to use wool dryer balls: Simply add three dryer balls and start your dryer with your clothes. The first few times you use wool dryer balls, it is best to keep an eye on your dryer. These balls reduce the time needed to dry your laundry. You will probably need to reduce the drying time to prevent your clothes from becoming too dry!
