1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
When you purchase something from our Site or sign-up to receive newsletters, advertising content, participate in contests or other services, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, billing address, shipping address, phone number and email address.
If you contact Customer Support, or if a member of our staff ask, and you provide your email address at our event, it is for marketing purposes. This should be clearly communicated at the time the information is collected.
When you browse our Site, we also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address in order to provide us with information that helps us learn about your browser and operating system.
We also track aggregated web traffic, identify whether users are signed in to our Site, gather information about user interactions, user preferences, which pages are visited, how long visitors are spending on particular pages, and to recognize users when they return to our Site. Our site servers also generate standard traffic log files. We use these files to prepare aggregate traffic statistics for our site. There is no personal information in these aggregated records and log files.
2. WHAT DO WE DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
We use personal information to deliver the products and services that you have ordered or requested from our Site, and to allow you to pay for products and services that you have ordered.
With your permission, we may send you emails or newsletters about our Site, new products and other updates.
You may also choose to leave product reviews, comments, or social media interactions that may identify you. We may use this information to host or display those product reviews, comments, or social media interactions.
We may use user information in a statistical, aggregated and anonymized format, for product improvement purposes, to understand customer preferences such as tracking webpage usage and product interest on an aggregate basis, and to deliver site content and content to users based on user behaviour and preferences.
3. CONSENT
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or a purchase, you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
You agree to keep us informed of the correct and current personal information that you supply to us.
4. HOW DO I WITHDRAW MY CONSENT?
If you want to pay for the product(s) and allow us to ship the product(s) to you, then we need the personal information to fulfill this purpose and if you withdraw consent, then we cannot fulfill this purpose.
For marketing or other commercial communications, if you opt-in, and then you change your mind, you may withdraw your consent for us to contact you, for the continued collection, use or disclosure of your information, at anytime, by contacting us via email (see the contact information at the bottom of this Notice), or by unsubscribing to marketing communications by using the link in the footer of any of our emails.
5. DISCLOSURE
We may outsource certain aspects of order fulfillment, product delivery, payment processing and subscription services. For example, our PCI-compliant suppliers will use payment information to process your payment, and our order fulfillment providers will ship product to the address that you supply to us. We may also use a third-party provider for our subscription-based services. These suppliers are obligated to maintain confidentiality, and not to retain, share, store or use personal information for any secondary purposes.
For example, our Site is hosted through Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you. Certain payment data is stored through Shopify’s data storage. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
We may disclose personal information only in accordance with: (a) this Policy; (b) the Terms of Service or other agreements you may have entered into with us; and (c) applicable laws and regulations.
We do not sell or otherwise distribute personal information to external third parties except with your consent or as may be permitted in accordance with this Notice.
6. PAYMENT
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then our payment provider stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted. In the case of subscription services that you may choose, payment card data is stored by our payment provider for recurring payments, as long as is necessary to complete the subscription transactions that you authorize.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
For more insight, you may also want to read Shopify’s Terms of Service or Privacy Statement.
